Supermarkets
In Supermarkets, we proudly support a network of over 1,600 independently owned stores Australia-wide, including the well-known IGA and Foodland brands.
No two independent stores in our network are alike. Each store strives to be the ‘Best Store in Their Town,’ from the products they sell to the charities and organisations they support and the local people who work there. They sit at the heart of their communities, perfectly tailored for the locals.

IGA
Through our network of independently owned stores (more than 1,200 of them), we tailor our ranges and brands to give our local customers more of what they like. This includes many of your favourite brands; the ones you may no longer find on shelves in other supermarkets. We proudly support Aussie producers too, by stocking ranges of locally-made products.
We actively participate in the communities around our stores doing whatever we can to help local schools, surf clubs or hospitals whether it’s footie balls for the under 14s or life-saving equipment, supported by our Community Chest program.
Local communities also benefit through contributions to Community Chest from the sales of our Community Co private label range, while delivering great value to customers. Community Co has continued to expand its taste tested quality range and is now available in all IGA stores nationally.
Foodland
Foodland stores are local, independently owned supermarkets so when you shop with us you help support your local community. Foodland is indeed ‘The Mighty South Aussies’.
Foodland retailers have been supporting South Aussie sporting and community clubs, charities and schools for 50 years. Our retailers donate to over 200 sporting clubs, 100 schools and kindergartens and over 250 other charities and community groups every year.
Convenience
Metcash’s Convenience division provides a ‘one wholesale solution’ for tens of thousands of customers nationwide including; forecourt retail, convenience businesses, small coffee shops, fresh food outlets and restaurants.
The Convenience division is a flexible, one-stop shop for Convenience customers, for example; products can be purchased in single units or cases, to enable small top-up orders throughout the week.
Metcash is committed to continuing to develop its convenience business for the benefit of both our customers and our suppliers.

Campbells/C-Store
In 2017 Metcash merged Campbells Cash & Carry with C-Store Distribution to create a single Convenience business.
Foodservice
The food service industry is a fast-growing market, underpinned by favourable long-term consumer trends towards convenience and out of home dining.
