Changing Your Contact Details

Metcash requires specific original documentation or correspondence should vendors wish to change their company details.

To Change Bank Account Details

Mail or email a bank document to the Metcash Trading Terms Department

Address: PO Box 6226, Silverwater Business Centre, NSW 1811
Email: tradingterms@metcash.com

Include your six digit BSB code, account name, account number and vendor number.

A bank document can be one of the following:

  •  A bank deposit slip.
  • Top half of a bank statement.
  • Signed and stamped letter from the bank on bank letterhead.


To Change Company Name

Mail or email the following to the Metcash Trading Terms Department

  • Original sample tax invoice.
  • Original signed letter on company letterhead advising the change of company name.
  • Your vendor number.

Prior to mailing these documents, please ensure the new company name is listed on the ABN website (www.abr.business.gov.au). as a Trading Name.  If it isn't registered please call the ATO on 13 28 66 to arrange.

Note: We cannot change a company name unless it is liseted on the ABN site


To Change ABN

Mail or email the following to the Metcash Trading Terms Department

Details Required:

  • Original sample tax invoice with the new ABN clearly identifiable.
  • Original signed letter on company letterhead advising the change of ABN and stipulating whether or not there has been a change to ownership or internal restructure.
  • Your vendor number.

Prior to mailing these documents, please ensure the new company name is listed on the ABN website (www.abr.business.gov.au).  If it isn't registered please call the ATO on 13 28 66 to arrange.

Important: If there is a change of ownership, a new trading terms document will be required. To arrange, please contact the relevant Metcash buyer.


To Change Contact Details for Payment

To change contact details including your address, phone or email, please email tradingterms@metcash.com ensuring your vendor name and vendor number is included within the email along with the details of the change.
